Fresh n Lean is one of the most popular pre-made meal delivery services out there, and for good reason. They have a huge variety of meal plans to choose from and they’re constantly updating their menu and accommodating new diets. However, there are some important things you’ll want to know before you subscribe.

Today we’re going to cover everything you should be aware of before you press “purchase” on your Fresh n Lean subscription.

How Much Does Fresh n Lean Charge?

Likely the most important question here is if Fresh n Lean fits into your current budget.

As of publishing this article, they currently charge anywhere from $8 to $12 per meal, depending on the plan you choose.

That might seem a little pricey, but when you consider the fact that all of their ingredients are organic and fresh, plus it’s pre-made and involves no cooking. In my eyes, it really ends up being a good value.

Does Fresh n Lean Charge For Shipping?

Shipping is free for all Fresh n Lean orders over $75.

What Diets Does Fresh n Lean Cater To?

Fresh n Lean is extremely accommodating when it comes to different diets. In fact, they’re one of the most diet-friendly meal delivery services that I’ve tried over the years.

They have meal plans that specifically cater to the following diets:

  • Keto
  • Paleo
  • Whole30
  • Gluten-Free
  • Low-Carb
  • Vegetarian
  • Vegan
  • Dairy-Free
  • Soy-Free

One thing to keep in mind, though, is that Fresh n Lean isn’t a dietitian service or giving you diet advice at any point. So if you have any specific dietary needs that require a lot of hand-holding or personalization, Fresh n Lean might not be the best option for you (you’d be better off trying a meal delivery service such as Diet-To-Go or BistroMD). That being said, if you’re looking for a pre-made meal delivery service that has tons of delicious meal options for different diets, Fresh n Lean is a great choice to consider.

Is Fresh n Lean Certified Gluten Free?

Fresh n Lean is not technically certified gluten free, but they do have a lot of gluten free meal options. If you’re someone who needs to strictly follow a gluten free diet, Fresh n Lean might not be the best option for you. However, if you’re simply looking for a pre-made meal delivery service with tons of delicious gluten free meal options, Fresh n Lean is definitely worth considering.

How Often Can I Change My Meal Plan With Fresh n Lean?

You can only change your meal plan once a month. So, if you’re the type of person who likes to switch things up often, Fresh n Lean might not be the best option for you.

That being said, they do have a ton of meal plans to choose from compared to many other meal delivery services we’ve reviewed in the past. So, you’re highly likely to find one that fits your dietary needs and lifestyle preferences.

What Is The Minimum Subscription Length?

The minimum subscription length with Fresh n Lean is one week. So, if you’re not sure whether or not you’ll like their meals, I suggest starting off with a subscription and canceling if you’re not satisfied with your first weeks worth of meals.

Can I Cancel My Fresh n Lean Subscription Whenever I Want?

Yes, you can cancel your Fresh n Lean subscription at any time. In fact, from my experience, they have a “no questions asked” style cancellation policy, so you don’t have to worry about any hard feelings. Just be sure to cancel your subscription before the next billing cycle or you’ll be charged for another month.

To cancel your Fresh n Lean subscription, just head to their website and log into your account. From there, you’ll be able to see a list of all of your active subscriptions (you can have multiple on one account) and cancel whichever one you no longer want.

You can also reactivate your plan at any time. Since we review multiple different meal delivery services for this site, I’ve had to cancel and reactivate my Fresh n Lean subscription multiple times over the years without any issues.

Are The Meals All Organic?

Yes, Fresh n Lean meals are organic when possible. In fact, one of the things that I love about them is their strong commitment to using only organic ingredients. They’re one of the few meal delivery services that are USDA certified organic.

Are The Meals Healthy?

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the healthiness of Fresh n Lean meals will depend on your individual dietary needs and preferences. However, Fresh n Lean meals are generally “healthy” in that they’re made with organic ingredients, nutritionally balanced, and cater to a variety of different diets.

Food Box HQ Note: If you’re looking to eat a healthier diet, I highly suggest speaking with a medical professional, nutritionist, and/or dietician before subscribing to Fresh n Lean.

Is Their Meal Delivery Service Good For Weight Loss?

Again, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. Fresh n Lean meals can be great for weight loss if you choose wisely and pair them with a healthy diet and exercise routine. However, I always recommend speaking with a medical professional before making any drastic changes to your diet or starting a weight loss regimen.

How Long Do Their Meals Last?

Fresh n Lean meals last for about 7-10 days in the fridge. So, if you’re not going to be able to eat them within that time frame, I suggest freezing them. The meals can last for up to 6-8 weeks if stored in a freezer.

Do I Need A Microwave To Reheat Their Meals?

No, you don’t need a microwave to reheat Fresh n Lean meals. To be honest, I often eat their meals cold and they’re still delicious but they do recommend ensuring that the meal is heated to an internal temperature of 165 degrees fahrenheit to ensure it’s safe to eat.

You can heat up their meals on the stovetop or in the oven. From my experience, both of those options actually end up making the meal taste better and allow the meal to heat more thoroughly.
